Just Right #2, 26"x40", acrylic, Dura-Lar on paper, 2015 copyright Mary Zeran I am very excited to announce that my work is now available at Sherry Leedy Contemporary Art in Kansas City, MO. Established in 1985, Sherry's gallery is a gorgeous, industrial space. Her mission is to present contemporary art of exceptional quality and merit. I feel honored to have my work in the same gallery with artists I've admired such as Jun Kaneko and Hung Liu. Having my art shown in Kansas City brings things full circle. I have many cousins living in the metro area and my grandfather was born in a small Kansas town not to far away. As a child, my family used to make the pilgrimage to visit. My Great Aunt Wilma was the family story teller, each field, ditch, stream, and road triggered a memory of my grandfather's childhood. This rich oral history brought the land and my Kansas family alive.
